Good Dog's Precautions
We value you and your dog.
Your dog’s health is very important to us. The following
are precautions we take to provide the cleanest and healthiest
environment for your dog:
- Require proof that all dogs
are current on the following vaccines: Rabies, Distemper,
and
Bordetella.
- Require all dogs to be on
some kind of Flea and Tic Program
- Disinfect Pens Daily
- Daily
Air Disinfectant
- Air-Purifier in each room.
- Stress
Reducer Panels
- Steel bowls
- Outside Fenced
Yards
- Lots of Love and Hugs for
stress reducers
Proof of Shots We
require all new and regular clients to provide copies of
current
vaccines that
include: Rabies, Distemper,
and Bordetella. Bordetella is a vaccine
to help prevent kennel cough. What is kennel cough? (See
excerpt on Kennel Cough)
Did you know that there are at least 16
different strains of kennel cough and that the vaccine only
protects
against one
strain of kennel cough? So, even though
every
dog is
current on shots and vaccines there is still
a possibility that
your dog may catch kennel cough.
Flea and
Tic Program We recommend and use Frontline Plus. Frontline
Plus kills fleas,
flea eggs,
ticks, and chewing
lice. It kills
ticks including those that may transmit
Lyme disease. It is waterproof.
Disinfect
Pens Daily Our inside dog rooms are cleaned daily.
We disinfect each
pen with bleach
and detergent.
Daily Air Disinfect We daily spray the room with Wintergreen-256. It is
a Disinfectant,
Mildewstat,
Virucide, Deodorizer
that is used for Veterinary, Kennel,
Equine facilities.
Air-Purifier: We
have purchased one of the best Air-Purifiers to keep your
dog
healthy,
the NQ
Clarifier Standard
Commercial Model with UV. The product
description is as follows: “This

Outside Fenced yards Dogs
are rotated outside from morning
through the
evening. Outside
the dogs have
the opportunity
to potty, play, or just hang-out.
Most dogs coming to our facility
are in-door
dogs that
go outside
to potty,
having
the opportunity
to go outside and relieve
themselves reduces the risk of urinary
infections. Dogs on
concrete only
have the
tendency
to delay
potting as long as possible
which increases the risk
of infections.
Also, outside,
dogs here
have time
to play
and exercise.
Exercise keeps them happy,
their body tired, reduces
boredom, and reduces
stress.
Lots of Love and
Hugs We pamper the dogs
that come
to our facility.
We
treat your
pet as
ours. Our
dogs in
care are
rotated outside
through out the day, that
means we are seeing your
dog, talking
to your
dog,
touching and
petting your dog many
times during
the day. Our constant care,
talking, and touching helps
reduce stress
in your dog.
